Any interest in a new club in Bristol?

Hi all,

I've been offered a venue for RC racing in North Bristol. Easy access from the A4 Portway.

Track area is approx 15x10m, and there is storage and pitting space on site. Club nights would most likely be Tuesday.

Could be used for any electric class.

If you are interested (or know someone who might be) please contact me at davidallenxyz(at)googlemail.com, or via this site.

Thanks,

Dave.

Mmmmm....me please boss!!!

Would be ace, my only prob would be the tuesday night bit...the big thumb from above might be a factor :o And if your doing those flat track thingys...:p

Sounds interesting though, I'm sure you'd get some interest from the English contingent at the Caldicot club...maybe even some of the welsh boys would have a go to?

Good luck with it anyway, more racing options must be a good thing, and Bristol is severely lacking in those right now.

Thanks Andy, I agree that Tuesday is not ideal, but I'm still interested to hear from others in the Bristol area that would support a club in the city.

If this venue/date doesn't suit, I'm willing to put a little more work into finding somewhere else - if there are enough would-be racers.

Defo interested.
1/10th Off Road
Tues sounds good. Don't clash with Caldicot on a Fri as some might do both.

Hey Dave,

I'd be interested in some mid week racing, I wouldn't be able to commit to every week though as its a bit of a late night trek on a school night but I'd aim for as much as possible because i need as much opportunity to try and break my tamiya as possible! :)

Pretty good apart from having no tracks nearby... hence this thread!

chris68nufc 06-03-2010 09:07 PM

Here here!! Im the same!!

sosidge 06-03-2010 09:15 PM

But you've got a club in the toon Chris!

mrspeedy 13-03-2010 07:08 PM

We'd be up for some some of that  WORM at Weston-s-mare is our home club, and is on tuesday nights which is a shame but we only race micro's, and every other week so we should be able to get along regular enough ....

Have you considered an outdoor track at all ? We did have a look at some land directly underneath the Avonmouth bridge which is not only in the dry but also vacant and crying out for an RC track to be built on it :D

Keep us posted on this one ...

HELL YEAH!!!! As I can't do Fridays very often (2nd job in the hostility industry) I'd love there to be a weekday evening club. I'm based in Cheltenham but work about half way between there and Bristol so would suit perfectly!!

I'm sure there are a few of the Gloucestershire based boys who would come down and play too.

I can only really run 1/10th buggy though at the moment.

I would be interested if it was not mid week racing cause of gcse's at the mo but when there over bring it on. My club is tiverton rccc, the only 1/10th in the south west I beleive. And they only race every other Sunday as from April.
