Speed Passion motors
Has anybody got any info on V3 motors from the above?
I want to know RPM ratings for the 5.5, 6.5, 7.5 to see how they differ. Ive got a 7.5 and it wasnt very fast in my Durango even when i played with the gearing?? Anything else i need to know about these? |
we ran a 7.5 v3 in the cat sx it was reasonably fast it was how ever geared very high 7.38 = 80x26
motor info clicky |
i've got a 7.5 speed passion in my durango plenty fast enough for indoors geared 25/std spur
paul:) |
Mine was geared on a 25 pinion, standard spur. It was really really sluggish.
I thought it was way overgeared though. I advanced the timing aswell and it was better. This was with running 4800 LRP lipos brand new. Do lipos get better after a few charges? Ive never noticed it before on brand new ones but just a thought? |
I run a 18/84 setup on the 7.5 in the B44 and it's got plenty of speed
I've run a 5.5 also and it's very fast. |

i know u got same tranny ko esprit 3 as my so if you can go to menu set up and check the TH:HIPOINT standard setting is 100% so if u can bump it up to 150% then u get more top end u may already did it but just give u my thought |

Im going to have a look at my throttle curve.
I may have left it on the -scale from when i was using an LRP X12 motor which was balistic. I was using brand new LRP Lipos 4800 40C. Surely they dont need to be run in before they are good?? |
I've got a SP V3 7.5T on my TRF501 and it is quite fast, at least for indoor racing.
ESC is Losi Xcelorin S and there was a huge difference between initial acceleration settings "normal" and "high" (default), where that high felt far better for my liking, and normal felt rubberbandish... (slow in other words...) |
Same problem here.....not as much top end as id like!
Not messed with the timing yet but why should you have too??? G |
gear it up then as i told you it should be
