Rear Hub Carriers

Was having a great drive today till I had a very bad bounce from a hump and unfortunately barrelled rolled several feet along the only stretch of concrete within half a mile..sods law I guess LOL. Anyway..Trashed my wing and snapped the Rear Hub in half along the seam for the turnbuckle ball joint tab.

I'm wondering if this is a common injury...granted the conditions of the crash did certainly add considerably to the outcome but have others suffered the same fate?...if so has anyone tried the aluminium rear hubs (Part Art.-No. 125000321). They seem to be a different design (ball joints on top surface of tab not the side) so was wondering how they are to fit etc.

Thanks

J

Sucks to here that. The aluminum hubs are nice but i would make sure u use titanium ball studs with the aluminum hubs. A lil loctite would help also so they dont back out. The aluminum pivot mounts are a nice touch also.

I have used Edit titanium 4.3mm ballstuds on mine so I can fit RPM ball cups, also fitted the alloy hubs to mine, seems to work quite well and you can also change the rear roll centre by using shims under the ball stud.

the alloy tc hubs look great at about 23$ but with postage they work out at over £45 does anyone in england sell them? or is this what i should expect to pay for decent alloy parts>

Front C Cups are available and have been for a few months for £34 approx (fusion hobbies also) so I guess rear hubs will be about the same. The quality is very good..I have the front alloy C Cups on my car and they look and perform superb.

The rear hubs are not available in the UK yet. Latest info from Shaun at Ansmann is they should be available before April.
