xcelorin - esc -1/10th

thats it guys ive had enough im gonna go buy a hpi baja and throw all my electrics stuff in the bin ,i just dont think i can take it anymore

1/10th xcelorin esc -no lights come on
reciever is powered up and working fine

managed to drive the car for 5 mins


last month i had a 1/18th xcelorin esc go up in smoke for no reason

month before that my novak hv didnt turn back on for no reason etc etc

im losing the plot man please can somebody reassure me that its all worth it !!!!!!!!!!!1

Avoid those makes.

Nosram/Lrp are pretty bullet proof from my findings :)

Dont give up on electric,you'll tear your hair out even more with Nitro, and there smelly and noisy , it'll cost you more in paracetemol each meeting from headaches.:p

Am starting to feel like you at mo but roll with it electric is the way forward nitro is smelly and forget your bank balance with the big 1/8th stuff...

Ive just bought a losi esc combo was running a ezrun and easy is the main word coz i should have stuck with it not put my hand in pocket for what is trash for the price set up on comp doesnt work so have to travel 15miles to program my losi and first time setting up after default setting haz just stopped working so i might just burn it as well maybe,
going to give it one more chance then is back to horzion and fle bay...

if you are have that amount of problems with diffrent makes the problem can only be the common factor YOU.

Yeah I had a couple of these and just said screw it and got an LRP system...Yeah it costs more but i was getting totally stressed out! No point in racing if you’re not enjoying it!

I've seen so many people have problems with the Losi that I refused to touch them. I'd go for a Speed Passion myself.

Exceleron's can be a pain (of course plenty about that are fine)

Go LRP and most i know havent had a problem

i must have a good one coz i've been running a losi 1/10th xcelorin with 17.5 for about a year now in my m03, every Friday night and some weekends and i haven't had one problem with it.... i'm lucky i suppose :woot:
i also run a ezrun that I've had for about 6 months its been in 3 or 4 cars and i haven't had a single problem with it either:thumbsup:

Everybody has problems with there electrics at some point i`m guessing!

Losi are pretty hit or miss, i run one in a DB-01 with a Sanwa system which works fine but when i try and use a Spektrum system with it,it has a right paddy wack just wont work end of.

I`d defineatly follow peoples advice here,i would personally buy an LRP system (sxx tc) there spot on, chin up fella :thumbsup:

Hi guys, new here and to Brushless/lipo etc, Just got myself a Xcelorin 6.5, are these issues across the range or are some worse than others? Is there anything that can be done to help stop the issues? maintance, cooling etc? or is it just what some call Losi Tuned Flex???? No updates available for my ESC etc

Is the motor ok? If so what esc would go with
the 6.5 motor?

It should be fine chap, remember people are quick to post when things go wrong but very few people post,
My Esc is great as it does what it is meant to and never goes wrong.
I have had problems with equipment from many of the manufactures, just use it and replace it if it goes wrong.
Your motor is compatible with any other sensored Esc.

i tottaly agree ginga ninja :p ... ive had 3 losi exceleron combos , had a couple of ezruns over the years ( just ordered another :thumbsup: ) and i currently have 2 hobbywing 1/8th scale systems in my casters ..

and have never had a problem with any of em :woot: and as ginge knows i dont exactly drive em like miss daisy :) ..

i also have a speed passion lpf 2.0 and a nosram evolusion istc ...
