Can't get XX4 front shock towers
 

Is anyone else having problems getting hold of front shock towers for the XX4?

I've had LOSA1204 (stock front shock) and LOSA9740 (graphite front shock) on order for several weeks now.

I've tried at least 5 -6 other model shops (DC Racing, DMS, Modelsport, Apex etc etc) all of whom say they can't get them from Hobby Co (Helger).

Also tried losipartshouse and atomic hobbies and they have none either.

Just want to know if there are others in the same boat as me and if anyone actually has these items spare to sell?!?

not many people can get ahold of them.. alot are struggling to get some.

Ok, so this is bad!

If someone made an alternative part they would make a killing.

Is there anything you know of that would fit and do the trick?

Or do we just play the waiting game?

you've to wait it out.. or switch cars!

heard on the grapevine that losi (or there suppliers) have damaged the mold for the front towers thats why there's a major shortage. don't know what going to happen but seeing as the xx4 is still a current losi line then i would imagine they will fix it and be available again but when ???

Have already switched cars to a 501x, but love my XX4 and want it back rubber side down asap.

If the broken mould rumour is true, you think they'd have a permanent spare wouldn't you? Especially for things that break often.

not really, car was only re-release last year after a long layoff so very expensive to have 2 mold's

Assuming you have an intact tower, there is a graphite support tower available from DC at £8.99.
If you don't have an intact tower, you're buggered. These have been out of stock for nearly a month now, so hopefully not too long to wait.

try DC Racing, we had too many spare front shock towers so we sold him a few of ours that was on sunday so i'd be surprised if he doesn't have any now.

They all went within 10 minutes!

Yeah...I saw a post on here saying you had some and when I checked they were gone!

me and a friend spent all day ringing round today, both made over 20 calls uk and usa and found only 3,
and no there not for sale so dont ask lmao.

carl, shame you didnt try all the shop's that advertise on oople. one of the shops up until this morning has a graphite front tower in stock!
wonder which 1 im on about;)
