Good, cheap, strong 4wd?
Im thinking about getting a 4wd mainly for times like worksop and regionals, etc
But it can't be any old flimsy thing (no schuey's then :p ), people who know me, know that I give my cars death :D So I need something cheap to buy and run, which is going to be strong and still competitive enough. Was thinking about the new LRP Blast as it has geared diffs, but don't know what the spares will be like or track side-support |
Associated B44?
Pretty solid, spares easy to get! |
|
Weren't Lloyd flogging a Durga for £60ish? Built like brick s**thouses once you've put a proper rear diff in.

That was my old durga! Theres a reason I don't own it anymore! I bought more diff gears than tyres for it!
|
Would durago diffs fit in a ZX5?
|
Hpi cyber10 at least it takes stick pack lipo's...
|
Actually, scrap the durango diff idea! Its almost £100 for 2 diffs and 2 idlers!
Does any other 1/10th scale car use geared diffs? (on or off road) |
I dont think you could go far wrong with your idea on the LRP buggy..
|
The new lrp buggy does :)
EDIT: Dam Beaten to it! |

Pat, thinking of a little project, as you know I hate ball diffs, more so when theres 2 of them! So may put some geared diff's in what ever car

pat is correct, serpent also did a gear diff for the s400 tho like rocking horse poo there all nearly belt drive, Glyn ward build a hong nor 10th buggy with gear diffs, was a 12th/10th nitro car prior the conversion |
Just bought 2 diffs :woot: Hopefully they will fit what ever car I buy!!
Im thinking B44 cos Rob J has one and it keeps it all Associated, but Im also thinking Lazer ZX5 cos they take stick packs |
