Is this Guy trying to scam me
 

Strange email receieved about a Landrover Im selling on ebay -

How much precisely do you want for this land rover? And can i make an
offer?I'll also like to know the condition and how long have you been
using it? I will be paying via my paypal account . . . so please get back to me
asap with your paypal information (include your phone # pls) so i can
transfer the funds.The phone # is to effect the payment and have it
linked into your
paypal account.Do get back to me so we can arrange for pick up as i
will like the car
picked by my pick up agency . . . shipment is on me.

Good spot on the phone number, many people would have fallen for that.

So the guy knows my email addy and is after my number, how would he access my account etc!!

I hate scammers, scurge of the earth, have forwarded the original email to paypal to hopefully close him down!!!

Another email from the scammer, Should I have some fun with him??:thumbsup:

I'm purchasing the car for my dad as his birthday gift, My dad live
in heathrow. i am on
sea at the moment. I work as a marine engineer and i really want the
car as a surprise for my dad, i am sure he will be more than happy
with this surprise I am giving him this year. I insisted on paying via
paypal because i dont have access to my bank account online as i dont
have internet banking at my location here, but i can pay from my
paypal account, as i have my bank a/c attached to it, i will need you
to get back to me your paypal email address so i can make the funding
for the car asap...

Yes - I've done it, its fun just to feel like perhaps you've wound them up a bit - I told one scammer that I required a copy of his driving license, passport and bank details!!! - I then said I'd only let him have my car if he sent me a photo of himself with a shoe on his head, holding a sign saying "AWOOGA!" in one hand and a loaf of bread in the other. :)

I never heard from him again.

Anything to do with cars, ebay, shipping and collection agency's is always a scam imo.
