The way his head was thrown about was horrific, I thought his head restraint had snapped and possibly cost him his life.

mattym0310 10-06-2007 07:35 PM

i didnt watch tht crash, how far through was it?? but i saw a horrific crash yesterday when i went to oulton park to watch the vintage sports car club race meeting

telboy 10-06-2007 07:37 PM

yeah, horrific crash, but luckily his head never actually hit the floor which is good, cos it barrel rolled in the air.

Good news for lewis though, kept his head despite all the S.C's. good to see wurz and heidfeld up their too.

Alonso look relativley ameture today, throwing all over the place. some slapped wrist for him I think.

ye, he woz a very lucky guy, it looked quite similar to Ayrton Senna's crash, but with all the modern safety stuff, he woz a very lucky guy

nd well done Lewis! he did very well to keep his cool,

dno wot happened to Alonso tho, he was all over the place :wtf:

AndyM 10-06-2007 07:57 PM

He looks jaded. Probably wasn't expecting Hamilton to challenge this year and thought this season would be a stroll in the park.

telboy 10-06-2007 08:29 PM

:) Rattled, I think the word is!:)

Probably as much pressure on him now, as there was when he won his championships.......and he's not taking it very well.:D technically, Hamilton could destroy his career.

They were saying before the race that, alonso told ITV that he cant win the race on the first corner.....so what does he do? tries too hard on the first corner....AGAIN!....nearly taking his teammate with him!!

Garry 10-06-2007 08:46 PM

Congrats to Lewis, maybe.....just maybe ITV will give us some non-Lewis buildup and post race coverage now?

And 'Stop-The-Cock'!

xx4-nutter 10-06-2007 08:50 PM

i would love to see micheal race lewis now. I bet now the way hes going he seems to be getting faster all the time, i bet it would be very close...

Congratulations to Lewis in a strange race...but don't forget guys that he only won a race, that's all ( At the moment he isn't the "new" Schumacher and he isn't the best driver, he's a lucky fast driver.

They are 17 races and it isn't easy being twice World Champion...

Time to time and step by step friends...

i really dont get it when you can dig at that the guys finished on the podium every race if im not mistaken ?

have any others done this ? or are they saying he is rewriting the books by what he is doing for a reason ? .... lol i think this guy is one of the best things that has come to racing, shows its not all about the old timers some of the new people can kick arse.

he was a full second a lap faster than heidfeld most of the time, seconds aren't even supposed to exist in motorsport, you work with tenths and hundredths
