hi,could some one tell me what the cars handling would be with the same diff oils in the front and back,then the difference in having 12500front and 7000rear compaired to the same front and rear,and then the difference in 15000 front and 7000rear compaired to 12000front and 7000 rear,i run at westbridgford on grippy carpet

iv got a strange problem with my car,it feels like there is more drive to the rear wheels and it seems to be pushing from the rear,when i go round a corner onto a flat out straight the back end will step out badly,the reason i asked the question is my diffs feel the same,could this be the reason the car drives like it does,eveything is running free,iv worked my way through the drive train and its all fine,iv filled the diffs up again and they do feel better,im running 12500 front 7000rear,i was wondering if it would help if i ran 15000front,7000 rear,also on the setup sheets some are running a spacer in the front shock,is this aswell as the one that is on the shock bottom as per manual,or is it instead but the same spacer inside the shock body,

Just lately I have been running thinner oil in the rear and a stiffer front for this exact reason. I found that with a bigger stagger between the oils it helps to pull the car straighter out of corners. Also a lighter rear diff oil helps with traction. I have been using 5000 rear and 15000 front (as per latest worksop setup on the Durango website). The other thing to try on carpet is to remove all of the weight from the rear as this can help the car to straighten up out of corners as well. For Broxtowe tomorrow on carpet I am planning to start with the Worksop round 4 setup with the only alteration being a front roll bar fitted. The front spacer is just the kit spacer as in the instructions.

Ironically I have found the exact opposite with mine :confused:

Ran 10K front and 4k rear last night on a 50/50 mixed dirt and astro turf track, and found the back end was very loose.

Switched to 10k all-round in the diffs and the car was much better.

I also found that 10k in the front takes away a bit of turn-in, so am contemplating running 4k all-round for next meeting.

Yes the spacer goes inside to limit the droop.

just to update,i ran the car this weekend without the brass plate on the rear but kept the side weights,for me it made the car much more stable coming out of a corner,i also put the front shocks on the lowest hole on the front tower and it calmed the car down,:thumbsup:

I notice that my durango diff oil 2000 is around 4000 or 5000 asso.
How can we compare diff oils in sttings?

Why durango hasn t everything in diff oil?
