hi
hope some of you pc bod's can help over the last few day's i keep getting runtime errors, saying runtime error has occured do you wish to debug. A. whats a runtime error B. how do i get rid? this doesnt happen on all websites i use ;) but has just started to do it on oople tonight tried running several virus/trojan scanners all come up clean hope you can help as its starting to p*** me off |
you installed some new software / updates?
try disabling script and runtime errors in IE advanced option, or it could be a memory / cache issue. a google search should provide the full solution |
similar issue when running Pro-Trak sofware
email from Pro-Trak user with the same problem maybe a windows update issue? |

that's a something different....... |
no new software and tried a google search but not really sure what to look for as my pc knowledge is rather limited, so any advice in plain english would be greatly appreciated
thanks |
these are what im getting
a runtime error has occured do you wish to debug line: 2 error: object doesn't support this property or method or line 15 error: object expected |
as said it could be due to a update ( automatically done on xp) which microsoft sometimes get wrong
you may have upgraded to internet explorer 7 (possibly automatically) and this causes a few oroblems as some sites don't recognise it ) http://www.microsoft.com/windows/pro...e/default.mspx is microsoft windows homesite and this has technical support etc faq http://www.pcnineoneone.com/ is a good plain speaking pc help site http://www.newbie.org/ as the title says newbies ;) these may not help they may do sometimes its just a script in the website that has changed slightly and is wrong but rectifies itself in a day or so hence only probs on a few sites ( especially if of same type ( eg forums such as this) as most common forums all run on phpbb2 servers and are interlinked so it may be a central server error or similar. |
Go to tools > options > advanced > and make sure disable script debugging is ticked as disabled first of all....
