More rear end grip

Am having a few issues with the CR2 and rear end grip on power. It becomes really unstable. Anyone got any ideas on what to try?

Current setup is:

Front - 35wt, black springs, red pistons
Rear - 30wt, Pink springs, red pistons

I have 30g up front, and some lead under the lipo, would I be best to try and shift as much weight to the rear?

You'd be best to do a front/rear axle weight measurement and try and get it as close to fr 35/65 rr as you can. I can tell you now that will require you taking the 30g from the front ;) I'm guessing you will be miles out.....

could you post a setup sheet on here? I run about 45g upfront and dont have this happen at all. Maybe take a pic of the car so we can look too?
As everyone has said, tyres will be a v big difference

The 65 part of a 2wd car's 65-35 weight distribution should be on the rear end Griff :p

I run the Ghea brass front bulkhead and 30 grams of lead putty up the front along with the Rudebits front side weights and no extra weight on the back and mine doesn't do this. :p

You could try running these for a bit more rear end grip ;) http://www.m-k-racing.com/product_in...2&%3CosCsid%3E

If ya want a bit more rear end grip, grab a little lower and squeeze. If she makes a funny noise your doing it right!

Is AC coming out with the idler gear mod?

Northy 15-02-2010 08:56 AM

Contact JC. The Special edition Red car came with a motor plate and Idler hardware to fit it. It works very well. I'm sure he said it would be available in black too.

I emailed JC the other week and he said they would be ready soon. I guess they are getting the red kits sorted before giving them out to general minions

OldTimer 15-02-2010 12:47 PM

Will be available for minions soon ;) i hope back end of next week.

The kit will include all items you need, ie motorplate, idler post, bearings, idler gear, fasteners.
