Newbie

As a youngster I always wanted a Tamiya buggy, now ive got kids of my own and had a chance to buy my first Tamiya (for my little lad of course) it has got me hooked!!. So much so I really want to join the oswestry club, as I know zilch about racing buggies and hop ups I am hoping to get some tips on how I can either make the car we have competitive of buy a new competitve machine. We have got a stock Tamiya fighter buggy 2wd, if you are reading this thread and feel you can offer me any advice please do.
Many thanks
Jase:thumbsup:

Hi Jase,

I'm sure someone will pop on and offer advice about cars to run and 'hop-ups' etc at some point however allow me to welcome you to the Oswestry area of the forum!

Why not pop along to our club meeting on Thursday night?? We meet in one of the huts at the Park Hall Show Ground and we have a permanent outdoor track at the same location for the warmer months!

Someone will be there from around 6:15 and racing usually gets underway from 8:00

Thanks very much, will definately try and get there.

Yes if you come down you can have a look about around and see the diffrent types of car. Unfortunalty the tamiya fighter style buggies are not a very competative style buggy. But your more than welcome to come and race it. Its perfect for new starters as there not to fast and pretty strong. You should be able to spot us as i normally put the flood lights on that cover our outdoor track.
