I'm using hotbodies serrated nuts.

Diesel 01-02-2010 06:22 PM

I use Core RC serrated nuts

chris68nufc 04-02-2010 09:23 PM

Any ideas if there are new ones coming out to satisfy 'The Box'??

Northy 05-02-2010 09:10 AM

New what?

chris68nufc 05-02-2010 05:34 PM

God damn new front axels Mr North. Did your Durango fit in the box without the need of a dremel??

paulc 05-02-2010 05:47 PM

i don't think they'll bring new axles out im off to get myself a dremel i thought them days where over after getting rid of the x6 !

MALLET 05-02-2010 05:49 PM

MALLET 05-02-2010 06:21 PM

I don't think so as the clue is in the name, they are Core low profile

paulc 05-02-2010 06:41 PM

i have them on my car it still gets stuck in the box

MALLET 05-02-2010 06:46 PM

is it getting stuck with the tyres or axles.

Did you try the box with no wheels on?

paulc 05-02-2010 06:53 PM

it's getting stuck on the axles / wheel nuts yes the wheels were on

MALLET 05-02-2010 06:57 PM

Did you try the box without the wheels, as the schewy rubber hangs over the rim more one way than the other. If you glue them with the writing to the inside then they don't hang over too much

Northy 05-02-2010 07:08 PM

It's not the rubber fouling......

nothing worse than getting your rubber fouled and chafed!!! :woot:

paulc 05-02-2010 07:18 PM

i have the writing on the tyre to the outside and the wheel nut sticks out another 2 to 3mm ish past that when it's in the box you can hear metal on metal rubbing so it is the axle/wheelnut catching

i would have had loads, ordered 200 nuts, will be £1.50 for 4 or £2.50 for 8, but my supplier let me down and not getting them till monday.

mine fitted in the box using these and my dremel.

there were some not very observant durango owners at the worksop do then ;)

telboy 05-02-2010 08:20 PM

It is annoying, I had to do it for the F345's. Its borderline at the moment. but just about passable. Spent more time getting it legal, than concentrating on set-up. lol

DCM 05-02-2010 08:34 PM

to be fair, on a car costing £450, it should fit in the box, no dremmeling at all...
