501X or DF03 oneway outdrive
 

I broke a oneway out drive from my 501X front oneway diff - this is the same out drive as used on the DF03 oneway diff , but I dont think you can buy them seperately. So before I go purchase an entire new 501X one way, I wondered if anyone is selling an odd out drive, or an entire one way that they don't want to use..
I'll even buy a DF03 one way (for the out drives) if someone is selling one cheap.

I've not seen any lying around here Jimmy, but tbh I have no frickin idea what they look like, or what they are anyway! :D :D :D

Jimmy I think that the 415 one is the same I can check my spares to see if I have one in the stash, you know you should allways give me a shout first, I am the Daddy of TRF spares!!

Lol, Cheers Leigh, but I don't wanna nick an odd outdrive from you and leave you stranded (even if it's a touring car which you should thank me for rescuing you from :D:D) but if you do have a spare, or if you're selling a diff that would be top banana..
I guess the only think that could be different would be the length, I am not sure that the out drives on the touring cars extend as far? what do I know tho! :eh?:

We took the 501X out tonight for some review photos, but it's going to sleep for a couple of weeks now whilst I work on a DF03 and HB D4 - so I'm in no big rush to sort it out.

give me some dimensions of the outdrive Jimmy, I got a diff I ain't using at the moment

with my poor measuring skills and a broken out drive, I measured 25.7mm total length. The shaft makes up 12.3mm of that. The shaft is 6mm diameter (well, 5.98mm)

this has got a shorter cup, does it run the same front unit as the TA05?

not sure about that to be honest dude, this Tamiya stuff is all a bit alien to me

I have a 3Racing TA05 outdirve, but it is a little shallower than the 501X cup, bout 2mm shallower

I think that the shallower cup will allow the driveshaft to pop out (not good) Give me a chance tomorrow Jimbola and I will sort my spares out and let you know. And yes I do need rescueing from TC hell, as I keep going back there!!!! Shame that there is not more offroad action round these parts!!!
