Guys,

My car manual says 190mm but what exactly would fit perfectly. Would the Elise shell fit from HPI or the any 190mm shell would fit? What about Tamiya or are they different?

Yep hpi shells fit (although not the new smaller cup racers and the sprint gti ones don't)
Same with tamiya, most fit, just the short wheelbase ones dont.
