fixing receivers and esc in B44 - stupid question

Hi

For the life of me I cannot recall how to "secure" a reciver or a esc into a car. Its 20 years since i did this and the manual syas nothing. Velcro, double sided sticky tape? Does the esc fixing need to be heat resistant?

All help gratefully recived as normal!

Thanks

Jnu

Yep - Velcro or sticky double sided pads is common (may come with the esc), not heat resistant, recon there must be a few pictures of installs, also see D4, Yokomo etc.

Double sided tape is the choice of most racers. Real car trim tape is my favoured choice.

I use a roll of number plate tape to secure mine. Never had anything come out unless I removed it.

You can get the numberplate tape from Maplins, it has a green backing strip on it and was about £4.50?? for a big roll.

Also, clean the surfaces, degrease them with brake cleaner or something first.

Or motor sparay (degreaser).

never had a problem with that. I even had a receiver blow apart jumping the quad at leominster indoor track and leave the bottom half attached to the chassis lol. some superglue later and it hasn't come out again :D

I can recommend that stuff, certainly strong enough to hold my stuff in, despite my crashes!
