South lakes is looking for new members

All,

During our AGM at the weekend we decided to make a concerted effort to get some more members. So, if you fancy racing at a well run, small, friendly club and you live in North Lancashire or South Cumbria than we are the club for you.

We race 1/10th electric. Buggies are the class of choice but we also race in the winter 1/10th touring cars and we have just launched a "run what you brung" class. If you have something a little unusual we will let you run so dust off the vintage metal and come and have a play. I will bring my Optima. Cool eh. :woot:

Hello, my Son and I are in Skipton, B4 and CAT SX so will turn up and have a thrash. I've heard you run Dirt Hawgs as a control tyre, is this right? Optima, quallity car, does the chain still stretch?, will bring the frog for a laugh. What time do you start on a sunday?

Hey,

Our next meeting is on the 31st Jan, we normally turn up at 08:30 to track build, racing starts after 9 ish.

We do run dirt hawgs as a control for 2wd but if you have a set of road tyres we will let you run. Especially in the odd ball class, pins and spikes are banned. We race during the winter at Burton-in-Kendal at the memorial hall between Lancaster and Kendal.

Bring the frog, that would be great:thumbsup:. We need more vintage stuff on the track. Is it the RE RE or an original?
