Anyone fly RC on here?

Hi, was wondering if any of you guys fly RC aircraft as well as race cars. I have been on and off for many years, and I'm currently a member of the Hemel Hempstead club. My particular thing is EDF jets, of which I have 6 (4 flyable atm). Anyone else??

Yeh I fly a little though nothing serious (multiplex easystar!! N a minimag waiting to be built up)

6 jets? That some serious coin spent there !!

Yep I'm a flyer. Got into it when the nearest track to me closed and I couldn't bear the early sunday start for the next closest track.

Don't fly too much at the minute but I've got 3 aerobatic/3D planes, as well as an PZ micro mustand and Eflite Blade heli. I'm going to get a powered glider in the spring for lunch time cruizing I think.

I'd like to play with an EDF, but not sure if I want to own one- the noise is a bit much for me!

3d helis, used to be upto competition level, entered a couple but helis got stolen last year and havent got round to replacing them, will do it this year tho as im gonna try and get in the 3d masters or at least the uk 3d champs.

Helis were jr vibe 90, and i think ill go for the same again but the scott gray version. £900 just for the bare kit and that dont even come with flybar paddles!!!!!!

so add to that new radio £300, engine and pipe £400 servos £300 gyro £160, various electrics £150 blades and paddles £200 plus i need starting kit again too thats why ive not got round to it!!!!

If your gonna do it you need to get the best kit the cheap helis fly ok they just dont fly great hence the need for a decent heli

I flew planes for a while, got my BMFA A certificate and didn't go any further. Sold most of my planes but still have a fun fly which i'll hopefully fly again this year.

I also briefly flew heli's, i had a Kyosho NEXUS 30 but screwed that into the ground.:bored:
May try them again, been looking at a Raptor 50 or T-REX 600 Nitro.

Hi I have about 50 planes, I use to drive toy cars but it got to pricey so left and went onto planes, also gota Trex 450.

For you guys that race indoors take a look at this site www.flyingwings.co.uk there made from epp, models you can flying indoors, or outdoors, you can crash um in the ground and fly um again.

Very good for the price.

Now I also own me own B4 ;)

Nice to see a few flyers on here. If anyone wants a good starter edf model, I recommend the Phase 3 F-16. With a couple of little mods, it flies great for a standard kit. This is more than can be said for quite a few foamie edf models imo. Here are a few pics

Cheers for the comments, with the exception of Lee :D The second pic (Eurofighter) is the only one I have tried to finish properly so far. The top one (F-18) was an american kit which is finished with glass cloth, and grey primer. I test flew it several times before I started painting it, which is now finished. The bottom pic (F-16) kit is about £90, but you need batteries, rx etc. It has just had a new fan fitted so it can run a 4S pack, hopefully it will nudge 100mph.
Even these simple edf models come in at a good few quid, and they are not for the unexperienced. The F-18 is launched by a bungee catapult and ramp, as you can't throw it hard enough.
You can get quite a few of these types of models with everything in the box now, although some of the electronics are not always that good. They probably start at around £170ish, but if you cant fly pretty well they wont last long!!
