anyone know any shops doing great cheap deals on TA05 or TA05-IFS at the minute?

try stellamodels.net theyve got a TA05 nsx for £87.75 or an Advan TA05 IFS for £94.25. Dealt with them before and they are good. Typically 4 days from ordering to your door

Like the price of the Advan TA05 IFS, but would like to buy it over here for that sort of price!

Any more?

you won't buy it new, over here, for that price. Trade price is more than that.

I know, but I'm sure that I've seen a couple of people selling just the kits IE rolling chassis only, for around the £100 just before xmas, sods law though now i want a couple no ones selling them any more!

Cheapest IFS from the UK is £194. Most places I've looked, a TT01 is more than the IFS from Hong Kong

DCM 19-01-2010 05:43 PM

why would you want the IFS and not the V.II?

Not sure where some of you look for your prices, but the RRP of any IFS is only £149.99 here in the UK and we have three different IFS models in stock at present all for just £84.95 each (the Ebbro 350R, Raybrig NSX 2007 and the Willcom Advan), all available on our website here www.dms-racing.com (look out for more Tamiya special offers coming soon too)

Fusion Hobbies and Goldstarstockists. Just looked at MS, even they're way over RRP.

Ouch, expensive.....

DCM 19-01-2010 06:08 PM

The reason why the IFS is now cheap, is that it has been replaced with the TA05v2, which has the 416 suspension geometry, diff pulleys and layshaft pulley's, it has aldo gone to single sided layshaft to, the IFS uses the suspension off the 415, so if you want some NIP steering arms and rear hubs, let me know, bought them by mistake.

Basically because it's for my 8 year old and 10 year old for racing at a local club and the IFS is approx £120 cheaper than the VII's!

They both have TB-03's at the moment and I have a TA05-IFS R, so another reason is just wanting one lot of spares for the TA05 IFS.

Job done.

DCM 19-01-2010 06:39 PM

the TA05 IFS and IFS-R have different suspension

IFS = 415 style suspension arms and 5x9mm bearings in the hub

IFS-R = 416 style suspension arms and 5x10mm bearings in the hub.

The TB03 has the same arms as the IFS-R, as thats what I run, and kids have TB03.

Would like to say Thanks to DMS Racing

Have just ordered 2 kits at a most agreeable price.

Thanks
