It looks great, i think i will wait for this......not too long I hope???

reg 15-01-2010 01:54 PM

:wub........i dont like the fact the batterys are not covered at the back where the chassis sweeps away

TryHard 15-01-2010 01:54 PM

Couple of interesting ideas on there.... no ability to move the motor to set mesh, looks like you rotate the top layshaft/spur to set mesh....

Looks liek B4 gearbox internals and front end as well, though obviously a protocar, so partly to be expected ;)

Not so sure on that exposed drive gears...

Does look good though ;)

gear or ball diff?

Rocking Donkey 15-01-2010 03:35 PM

With a B4 front end and a mid motor, I think it might just handle like an X6... Actually I think the B4/X6 was the first buggy to offer mid or rear motors layouts, given that you need the B4 donor car in the first place. We'll have to see how it goes, but I will need some more convincing.

Not forgetting Team Tekin, they had one out mid 90's I think. If you can get into there shop, (which won't load for me today) It was on there a few months ago

Regarding the photos...

- The motor will not change of position...I mean...by changing the motor wing ( for example a 8.5 to a 9.5 )...you'll change the spur and pinion only...
- Changing the global position of the motor ( midX6 or rearB4 ) is a good idea.
You do what you want !
- I suppose that if you mount the motor on the rear ( B4 style ) ...it will be possible to use "stick batteries"... ?

We have to wait more details...

HyperFX 15-01-2010 11:28 PM

When?

Waiting patiently, but not too patiently!
Is there a target release date?

nope if you change winds you can just change pinion, the spur gear moves to allow meshing, as it pivots round the idler gear!

so Yannic Pruemper put it 9th in the A but what was his overall position after the finals?

MALLET 18-01-2010 02:41 PM

He finished 9th over all.

2wd final results

James 18-01-2010 03:25 PM

He was quite an agressive driver, i dont think you could have driven a rear motored car the way he was driving the 210, it wouldn't have forgiven you :o

MALLET 18-01-2010 04:35 PM

Well Done James for coming 14th  You de Man
