This Sunday!!!!!!

Who is racing!!!!!

No little bit of snow can stop us.....
Need some racing:thumbsup:

DaSloth 14-01-2010 09:52 PM

I've got bored of saving money and want to race again :)

Should be there as long as there is no torrential rain :x

Piman 14-01-2010 10:47 PM

Current forcast is some rain on Saturday but dry Sunday. Therefore should be a dry day but damp track. No snow .

I should be there if the track is open, hate having to go shopping when i could be racing.

DaSloth 15-01-2010 08:49 AM

Are the local roads around stotfold ok? still got some very side roads down here and i suspect its worse up there.

Hi I live about 10min from the track, and basically there is virutally nothing left of the snow on the roads. I can even see the grass in my back garden, (for the first time in about 6wks) So looks good.

Is it the winter series or just a club meet this Sunday? :)

DaSloth 15-01-2010 12:44 PM

think its just a club as it clashes with Petit.

Dunc 15-01-2010 01:23 PM

That's right. The next round of the Winter Series is the 21st February.

Round 3 will not be rescheduled.

I thought I woud use this thread rather than creating a new one.

Was interested in comming along on sunday to try off road racing for the first time in about 7-8 years again.

Is there anything I need to know before I come down. Will there be someone on site selling tyres even for a regular club meet or should I arrange some before hand?

Any information would be much appreciated.

Dunc 02-03-2010 12:20 PM

No tyres on site I'm afraid.

You'll need Schumacher minispikes (yellow compound for when it's dry, green for wet).

If you're already a BRCA member, great. Otherwise, you only get a few meetings grace before you must join (for insurance purposes). You don't have to join the club if you don't want to.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the help. I'll get some tyres sorted out. I assume the start time of 13:00 from the website is still acurate?

DaSloth 02-03-2010 02:08 PM

It is, but alot people turn up earlier for practise etc.

Great, more practice is good:thumbsup: How early can we get there?

Huckster522 02-03-2010 11:28 PM

I normally arrive at track between 12-1230 and there is usually somebody already there, so you could get in a bit earlier than that.

Track closes for practice at about 1320 and booking in starts for 1330.

Racing gets underway before 1400.

Maybe a bit quieter than a normal sunday as i believe it's the last round of winter series at EPR and some of the regulars may go to there.

Not sure of weather forcast but hopefully will get some racing in.

spenner 03-03-2010 12:46 AM

I normally try and get there about 10am on a club meet. But we must all respect the neighbours so keep the noise down!!!

Always a well run relaxed meeting... and with our region (mid south) having the most F1's in the country it is very often you have around 10 racing at a club meeting.. so there is always people on hand to help you out if required.

What time does it tend to finish on a club day? after the wet Winter series the other week, I might be up for a play in the dry:D

spenner 03-03-2010 05:37 PM

Normally about 4...

JohnM 04-03-2010 04:11 PM

Cool, not to bad then:D, would have a bit of a drive home afterwards, then working nights, so 4ish isn't too bad, just need to see if the wife will let me out to play!
