Tamiya lunchbox accelerating problem

Hi guys im new to this, bought a lunchbox for a few laughs. But some time when i try to accelerate the hole car jumps and doesnt move forward. Its like it jumps from to much torque. It moves forward if i push the throttle slowly but if i go full wack it just jumps and moves about an inch.

ANy ideas? Maybe a problem with the electronic speed controller or the radio reciever not be the most compatable?

Any suggestions would be appreciated

I was gonna say - sounds like a typical 3-step mechanical speed controller problem, but obviously it isn't. Is it a Tamiya electronic speed controller? I've no experience with the Tamiya ESC's but maybe someone will have heard of this problem and be able to help.
The only thing I can think is maybe the voltage is dropping when you hammer the throttle and that's shutting down the ESC? I think I had similar experience with my Tamiya ESC in the tamtech-gear buggies - when the cells were fairly low (but not flat) on charge, the ESC would jump the car forward and cut out.

yeah sounds like LVC, how long til after the car stops accelerating do u get throttle response back, ie is there a delay after the car stop before you can make it move again

Do you have another battery pack to try? Sounds like the pack may be bad and can't handle the initial amp draw from a heavy start.
