you can turn it down all you want by limiting the throttle high pot to 50% so effectively you're only pushing the throttle forward halfway. (Assuming your tranny can do this)
I do this with my 5.5 indoors and even with the timing all the way down on the motor and speedo it's still too fast so 70% high pot was the answer, but it doesn't feel right to drive and feels gutless. on the plus side you can dive down the inside of anyone if they leave the door open and when they are power sliding everywhere it's easy to do. |
It doesn't work well though, it will feel horrible most likely as it will be so 'urgent', also likely to get far hotter than a sensible motor.

why not just buy a proper motor, theres plenty about for the right money

The way I see it is you save a bit of money by buying this motor because its a bit cheaper than than a 7.5 but how much does it cost you in spares when you break lots of stuuff then you decided the motor is to fast for you you then have to guy a new motor.

The other was in a Slash, which was frankly a little silly. Alright it was totally nuts and wouldn't stay on its wheels. |
