any one no where i can get a set of yokomo big bore shocks for my bmax4 cheers:(

If you can't get them in the UK, RC race and drift Japan can get any part you want from Yokomo (if they don't already have it in stock). Shipping and service were top notch with me.

I emailed them and they have not been able to get them from yokomo for a while now.

They must be in high demand. Well if they can't get them, no one can... You'll have to look for somwhere that has them in stock!:eh?:

Thanks, can't wait for it to get here!

Hopefully those shocks will be available again soon! But on second thought, when I sent RC Champ an email to get a quote for some parts a while back, they didn't say anything about them not being in stock......?

Ak them! They might not be in stock...:o If not, give the plastic ones a try while waiting form them to come around. The plastic parts in this kit have amazed me (quality and precision wise). This is no AE or Losi kit... I'm sure the plastic shocks will do fine for a while... Or go for the regular Yokomo shocks. Appart from "Look", the bigbores probably don't bring much of an advantage to the buggy...

Can't wait to try mine in a few weeks...:thumbsup:

I actually got the 2009 Japan edition car, so it has the regular alum shocks :thumbsup:, but still want to try the big bores.

eseller has the shocks in stock and their service is always great.
Ok sending a package can take 14 days.
If you must order them there than you have the black springs but not the other colours. They dont have them.

Anyone have experience with switching from the champ shocks to the big bores? I have a Japan 09' car and wondering if they are really worth spending $110 on, are they that much better?

Grape, I haven't tried mine yet, but from what I've heard they are not really worth the extra $$. More Bling factor than anything. Although, apparently they work very well especially if you run your car on the heavier side... If you want the bling, go for it!!! But 110$ can do a lot of good in other places...:D Especially since you already have the metal shocks!

Yeah, thats what I've been seeing to, just trying to see what someone saw from a performance stand point when switching to them and I run lipos so my car is lighter.....but yes they sure are pretty!

I finally got all the kinks out of my car and finally had a good race with it last night, put two laps on the field!! Such a better car than the B44, so planted:thumbsup:

They seem to come with the Black (medium) spirngs whe you buy them seperate. But do yourself a favor and order some orange (soft) rears. I'm running black front and orange rear (stock kit) and it's working really well with the car weighed down to 1800g.

So looks like you're keeping her?:D

I'm going to my 2nd race with her this weekend; hope to make the A this time...:yawn:

Seems to me it's black/black.
I don't even know if "black" ( medium) are sold in hop-up...I personaly baught the soft and hard for both rear and front.Hope it helps!

Yeah, I think I'm going to keep it. Car has just been such a headache since I got it, I've had one night where nothing happened to the car, not breaking stuff just things like the slipper loosening, cvd pins falling out, diff/drive gear stripping and last week ate a couple teeth on the spur gear, that was sort of the final draw. Just don't have trust in the car when I race it, which is bad. But everything "should" be okay now, rebuilt it all so it should be good to go.

I haven,t played with oils much (I'm at the beginning of tuning it). I had the original oils in there ; which in Losi oils are supposed to be 27.5 rear 30.0 front. I've now upped the front to 32.5 to see how it feels.

That sucks about your problems. I only have 1 race meeting with it, but I took it appart and everything was OK! No slipper nut coming loose... Spur gear was fine... Diff gears looked brand new (I was amazed:woot:). I did slip heat shrink over the CVD pins though... Just in case the red locktite I put in there comes appart...:yawn:
0 problems so far and hope it stays that way!:D

For the CVD's, I filed a flat spot on the pin for the bolt to sit on, then locktited it, seems to be working because they haven't moved and that was one of the first thing I did when I got the car since one fell out right away.

I did the same when building the kit. Took the CVDs appart (they were really tight though; I don't think it really needed it), dremeled a flat spot for the screw, red locktited it and reassembled. Then put some shrink wrap around it in case. No problems so far!! :thumbsup: But like I said, I'm at the beginning... I'm sure some pitfalls are bound to come around...:bored:
