LIPO C Rating Question

I apologise now if this is a silly question! I purchased some LIPOS over Christmas with a C Rating of 35, which i think is good and have...

35C continuous load - 162A
70C burst load - 325A
My Speedo is a Losi Xcelorin, which to my knowledge max's out at 100A

So my questions are

1 - is this ok, or is my speedo gonna fry
2 - If i get a second pack, but a different make with say a 30c rating with a continuous rating of over 100A will i notice any difference when i switch between packs?

I really hope this makes sense!

Your Esc will limit the amps to what it can take, rather than what the LIPO offers so it shouldn't be a problem.

As you increase the C rating you should feel more punch. My new 40C TrakPower Lipos' compared to the older 30C certainly give more oomph.

As I understand it, the higher the C rating the battery normally has less internal resistance. It can give more power out quicker, giving the feeling of more punch. In aircraft I have found that a higher C rated pack produces higher overall power (watts) output, which is why most people use a wattmeter to measure the power being produced. If you are near the limit of what the speed controller )or motor) can take, a higher rated Lipo can take it over the edge. In aircraft it is normal to use a controller with a lower limit than in cars, most of mine are 40 or 60A.
