Shocks

I have a couple of questions about the rubber boots for the shock shafts.
Does anybody have then on and do you think they stop the shocks working properly?. The reason I ask is becuase I've put them on mine with 3 hole pistons and 30wt oil all round and they aren't very good(a bit lifeless).

i think alot of people are drilling the pistons 1.3mm in the fronts 1.4mm in the rears

I had the same thing, front and rear shocks felt dead but in the end it wasn't the shocks!! I had two much thread lock on the rear sway bar pivot ball making the ball joint very stiff making the suspension arm stiff (when shocks were off one side would stay up and not floppy) and the front was the suspension arm being very stiff also, rebuild them and now the shocks all good.

i don't have drilled them out and it's okey the car is driving great

personally the fronts are the best shocks I have ever seen on a kit build. Perfect compression and rebound!

however the rears are a big let down. I have not drilled the rears yet, still waiting for my drill bits!

so whats different front to rear apart from length and the builder?
