LRP X12 motor problems

Has anybody had any problems with their X12 motors? Mine was set at full advance with four dots(i think) when it came out of the box. The factory standard is neutral position however both of my motors came set to +10 Degrees!!
Have anybody had any issues cos im not convinced mine is running right at all.
Might have to go back to Novak 6.6Light. It gets a bit warm and since im running it in a Durango im concerned about this aswell. Anybody else running a Novak L in a Durango?

Hi Chris,

All mine have come with +10 in from the factory. I just put them back to the 2 dots and then they are fine, as with the 4 dots it got rather hot.

It says in the manual that factory is no dots so why do they send them out with +10 degrees. I will stick mine back to 2 dots and see how it goes. Cheers Mallet

4 dots from the factory

4 dots pointing out is -ve 10deg surely.
mine didnt come with standard settings either, i just left it with 4dots, seems plenty fast enough.

How come surely?? You are right though, four dots is -10 degree. Mines going to factory standard, 2 dots. Still not very impressed with them. I love LRP but their motors are pants compared to Novak IMO.
Loving the SXX TC spec speedo aswell.

i had a 6.5 x12 in my x6^2 at the stotfold national and it started to glitch so i sent it back, i've had no probs with the new one.
6.5 is plenty enough in the 4wd, maybe put the 5.5 back in for southport tho
