New Advertiser - Team TEKIN

Welcome to out newest advertiser - Team TEKIN

Tekin will already be a familiar name to many but if you don't already know they are a manufacturer of R/C electrics, mainly ESCs, but they also produce chargers, equalizers and apparel.

Their new 10th scale brushed ESC range and 10th scale Brushless systems will be out very soon - WWW.TEAMTEKIN.COM

And if you need to ask any questions regarding them, I am more than willing to try to answer!

At last!
Here is a photo of the new R1 brushless system. Looking pretty small by all accounts!

DCM 14-05-2007 10:44 PM

They have been testing it in 125'F humid climate, and on the hottest of brushless motors, a fan is needed, in TC. There is a cap, but a small one, hidden behind the battery terminals on the ESC.

As soon as I get one, I will post pics!

this appears to be a sensorless system...

I wonder how they have got around the "cogging" issues normally associated with sensorless systems?

it's certainly small enough for all of todays 1/10th cars though which must be a good thing.

The latest sensorless systems are almost free from cogging as the technology has moved on, this will be as smooth as...... you get the picture :p

DCM 17-08-2007 05:57 PM

Many things can cause cogging, from poor software to dodgy connectors, Sensored systems can also fall foul of the dreaded cogging, but I am reliably informed these perform excellently with sensored and sensorless motors.

Are the motors legal now?

_sleigh_ 18-08-2007 11:35 AM

Not showing on the homologation list, but it was last update in July.

Not that I know of, but I think that Tekin are in discussion with Paul Worsley and working on that right now.
