New B4.1?

Anyone seen the new B4.1 and also T4.1 models? Much better than a B4?

Cheers!

Beanie

Isn't that just to do with the new 2.4 radio etc as that's still not a FT kit etc.

DCM 21-12-2009 06:17 PM

looks like they have changed the chaasis to the same facilities as the sc10, and 2.4ghz radio.

Thumbscrews on the batttery strap too....look a better idea but perhaps less sturdy than the older screws? Toying with getting a roller B4, from what you see, worth geting the 4.1 or not frankly that much different?

Richard Lowe 21-12-2009 06:21 PM

The B4 looks to have the new shock towers too.

Apart from the diff & a bit of anodising, it dosnt look like much has changed? Unless I am missing something?

Pretty good for a RTR though...

DCM 21-12-2009 06:34 PM

the B4 has been SC10-a-fied!!

Hmm...wonder if that could be shoehorned into a BJ4 or B44...

Not a hope in hell of getting that into a 4wd. Had it in my hands and gave it a bit of thought but would be a total nightmare and probably not work.

Looks like it has a new body too. Judging by the fotos it also has the new shock towers on it too...

Never mind that does it go into an X6

Beanie 21-12-2009 07:24 PM

Hmm....what's better in the B4, ball diff or gear diff? if Gear diff, do you adjust by using different viscosity oils like in my 1/8?

I usually run 1/8 nitro/leccy (Losi 8T/e) but am looking at getting a 1/10 buggy for some indoor fun during the winter months...

looks like a new shell aswell

Anyone know if the B4.1 shock towers have different geometry? US drivers seem to be running a '4th hole' on the rear shock tower on their FT's, running lipo with very little weight added. Would be interested to know if the shocks are at more of an angle with these towers.

AFAIK the front tower is the same but thicker and made of different plastic.
The rear has the 4th hole and the outer hole on the current tower has been taken off.

Thanks Richard, I'll have to get myself one of the rear towers then as I've been messing around running with lipo and no added mass with some self drilled 4th holes - not the most accurate drilling in the world though!

Has anyone else tried running lipo with no added mass and using softer springs and/or the 4th hole?

Did I see something about the gear diff being adjustable? How does this work and is it any good? There's no oil in it, right?
