Axle height

Just sat at work, doing a bit of daydreaming, and a question popped into my head - what effect does adjusting the axle height have on the car?

I would have thought it changed the front roll centre and possibly the bump steer too, depending on if you change the number of washers under the ballstud on the spindle in relation to it's height.

Can't really ever remember changing it, though I would think that running it lower would give you slightly more steering :wtf:

It changes the angle of the wishbone at rest and therefore initial roll centre, same effect as changing the washers under the inner camber link ballstud only more so.

Lower steering block = more washers under ballstud.

So, a higher steering block would produce more bumpsteer in, and therefore more aggressive steering?

Sorry, i'm a bit in the dark with the axle height issue!

Assuming you keep the bumpsteer constant moving the steering block should only change the roll centre.

Axle high = more aggressive steering
Axle low = less aggressive steering
