Proracing Evo IV RB

Does anyone know if they ever made any or whether it was more of a personal project?

jimmy 06-05-2007 05:26 PM

I 'think' it was a stop gap project until the 501X was available - so the guys are running the 501X now instead. Not sure if they are still doing anything with this shaft project, cool if they are, but the guys are Tamiya bods and the 501X is hard to beat!

Bluddy Hell That was quick :D
I was just going to ask a few questions to whoever had one but it seems no-one to ask, thanks anyway jimmy.

Hopefully gonna use the concept to try and do the same to my TB Evolution III, without having to hack the chassis away.

IMHO I wouldn't bother, it wasn't a great car......

Northy 07-05-2007 11:43 AM

It didn't seem to go that well. Looked nice though.

mossy ishy and kirky are still developing the car so they have the choice between belt and shaft which i think could be a good idea

Where and when? I've only seen them run the 501 recently.

Does anyone know an email for Richard Isherwood or anyone developing the car, thanks.

Mike West 08-05-2007 11:21 AM

The car is still getting developed as we speak. I ran it a couple of times on Sunday at batley and was posting times as quick as my 501. Should be able to see the car running around the track in the regionals.

jimmy 08-05-2007 11:24 AM

Cool, didn't realise you were still on with this - any new developments? Will you be running it along side the 501X until it's working well enough that you can drop the 501x?

footey 08-05-2007 11:55 AM

cool mike so it was going well glad to hear that did ishy run his

Mike West 08-05-2007 01:27 PM

New developments are new suspension parts and some added steering which was the biggest problem. The car has some advantages over the 501X with it being shaft drive, but the two cars are completely different to drive.
I only ran mine on sunday shaun to see how the new parts held up.

Funkymojo 28-05-2007 03:55 AM

Any pics of the car? :)

BenG 01-06-2007 10:26 AM

yeah Jim, any spy shots?

tc2k 01-06-2007 10:56 AM

Take off your zorro mask and use your eyes. There's some on the photos section at the bottom

gramey 03-06-2007 09:08 PM

:) Not sure why it's based on the Evo IV & not the V, has it been in development that long? Will it make it to production and if so when, I've steered clear of the 501X as I prefer shaft drive.
Ran a Predator XRS, now on a Cyclone D4 whilst waiting for the Aero A One but it would be nice to have a Tamiya off roader to go with our TB Evo 5 touring cars.:)
