just bought a Speed passion GT 2.0, LPF, and got a few questions

Whats the Differnce between the GT PRO and GT LPF ?

Are they easy to update and set up, do i have to buy the software seperate to use on my laptop ?

The pro can take a faster motor, 3.5. the LPF's motor limit is 5.5.

you have the common plug in board with item, value, reset and ok on it. just go down to punch which is 5 and change the value to amend them. then save.

I think there is a PC interface you can get. Never used it myself as the controller board does everything you need really.

Chris you should have any problem with the lpf its a great speedo, stick to the hand help programmer it does everything you will need to,

I've run my LPF with a 5.5 in a 4wd on high grip stuff, no more of a test than that!

I think they are a fantastic speedo and you can really notice the adjustments (especially the DRRS = punch/throttle profile & AMTS = motor timing).

There is no need to get the PC interface etc. as others have said (it's about £40 if you really want it) as all the necessary adjustments are available of the included programing card

I think the PC interface just lets you save profiles and easily upload them to the speedo.

It's not that hard to remember the settings really since you don't touch half of them ie, reverse

I find an aquired note book and borrowed pen to be a more cost effective solution ;)

In all seriousness the software updates are the only thing you need the PC interface for and the current software should be in all controllers anyway, updates seem infrequent as you'd hope for a well developed product!!

I only really change the punch on mine for indoors and outdoors. leave the rest the same.

If its the same as my Xerun 120a, it also allows you to change the firmware.

im sure the GT 2.0 also has timing advance/ turbo that works like the GM/Tekin or LRP spx esc too.

Set the cut off if your running lipo's.. it's default is off.

cheers for the info, yea i got the programmer box gadget looks well cool. im only running in the 10.5 pro stock class anyways for tc. modifiyed ie 4.5 just stupidly quick for racing indoor. built in timing on the speedo sounds fun. with the novak i had the timing ring on the motor fully advanced with no problems just not as quick as the bigger lads. so the speedo has a built in turbo boost ? can i alter for when i want the boost to kick in., and also last question is there any differnce between the standard power cap and the uprated one, thanks for answering my questions, very much appricated

the timing is just electronically set, doesn't alter as you drive, can be adjusted buy hand held programmer,bigger cap smooths out the bottom end.and gives a bigger punch when you nail it,

this doesnt make sense how can it smooth out the bottom end and give you more punch when you nail it thats a compleate contridiction:confused::confused::confused::confus ed:
