thanks

if it's anything like when I did that to my T3 transmission it was just a case of making a hole in the otherside of the trans casing and sticking the layshaft out of it.

cant you get another gear that goes next to the spur gear and pinion and if so what are they called? wer could i find one? how much? and would i need to change my geering ?

dodgydiy 01-12-2009 11:25 PM

its just the losi gearbox idler gear mounted to one of the motor screws, think it has to be used with something like a 20 tooth pinion, no gearbox mods needed at all then

TRX450RACER174 01-12-2009 11:50 PM

I am going to make a custom motor plate with the XXX idler so it can be adj for different Spur and pinion combos instead of limited to a 20 pinion and just going up and down on the spur.

lodders127 02-12-2009 03:39 PM

how many tooth is the losi idler gear ? would the b4 gear work ? and do idler gears come with bearings or will i have to buy them aswel ?
if anyone has got a bk2 or cr idler gear then can you send me a pm please with a price and all that
chris

Another option is fitting an X6 4-gearbox on it, but then you need some alu and dremel-discs :)

or you could just use a whole x-factory rear end one the losi t-plate like i did on my buggy. then you dont have to make the losi rear shock tower fit on the x-factory stuff.

lodders127 15-01-2010 02:28 PM

at the moment the bracket on the back is failing and i have a serious case of cba. i will probably be looking for a proper soon as my big plans for a aluminum one is failing and turning out to be a bit of a disarster. just an update.

lodders127 20-01-2010 09:07 PM

given up on the aluminum bracket. just going to be normal and go with the standard back t bracket and try and find a bolt set for my car as many of my bolts and loose, rounded off or old and look horid.
