RPM track rod ends

Could anyone kindly advise me of the RPM part number for 'RPM no slop track rod ends' please (for a BMax) ?

rpm dont make rod ends for metrics.

you would need to get imperial ball studs off the losi or ae, but then you would need to get new hubs, shock towers etc to make the new thread, if you get what I mean!

Hmmm.... I hadn't thought of that. Maybe I should've ordered an extra set of ballcups with my kit!

Are the Original Yokomo ballcups any good?

Yup, the stockers are good and relatively cheap.

CODMAN 29-11-2009 01:32 AM

They're not cheap if you have to order them from Japan!!!

Are there any other brands, that are the same size, that are good and closer (for shipping)?

Thanks for your help!

About $5 excluding shipping from rcchamp in Japan, though I couldn't say what it would cost to ship if you only wanted to buy one or two items.

Other than that, I'd probably look at other metric buggies like the HB D4 or Kyosho ZX5 for compatible parts. The Tamiya 510 or 511 should have similar dimension ballcups, though I heard the early cups were problematic; not sure if they've been updated.

I've used JConcepts rod ends on my Bmax with no fitting or binding problems.
These JC rod ends also fit on my B4/T4.
I have never used the RPM rodends before but I'm quite sure they fit the B4/T4...
But I think that would mean the RPM ones will the Bmax.
Hope this helps...

That shouldn't be a problem, I use the white (imperial) heavy duty Losi ball ends on my BX with the std (metric) ball studs, never had a problem there.

interesting, Ive tried to use ae ball ends on metric kyosho ball studs and they were way too tight.

maybe the losi whites are slightly larger

The "ball ends" are the same size on the BMAX as AE, Losi, JC, Etc...I use Losi HD Ball Cups with no issues.

The difference is the threading of the "ball studs"(metric v. imperial), but this doesn't effect the actual size of the ball. It only effects what you are screwing it into (especially aluminum parts)...make sense?

I think Kyosho's have bigger balls :)

ah I got ya now!

I never tried putting rpm ball ends on my yokomo, but did try on my kyosho and just assumed the yokomo's were the same ball stud diameter as the kyoshos. The yokomo must be the only metric car with the same 'balls' as imperial!

so to the original poster, YES the rpm ball ends will fit the yokomo.

part numbers are RPM73372 for short black,
and RPM73392 for the longer ones. You can get them in different colours too.

dont have a bmax with me now, so not sure if you need short or long ones, or both.

Nope, as the Losi ball cups work just fine on a Hotbodies D4;)

That's good news for me! I've plenty of spares then...
