only problem, ... the news about this event has been published on the french fora and it took me some time to translate all this in Dutch and English ...
and in the mean time, all places are taking.

The good news is that the organisers reserved a place for a Pred-team, which I am trying to get organised myself, .. and a Schumacher-team.

Any way, if you can get a team together, don't hesitate to mail ASAP to Jean-Paul Voumard ( dadandson[AT]gmail.com and maybe put me in CC (ludodg[AT]mail.com) as JP is not that fluent in English.

Track looks interesting, not too many jumps for Team Shambles to break our car on :D

reg 19-01-2010 04:47 AM

you dont need jumps to break it:woot:its usually the wall that does it:p

Dave Dodd 31-01-2010 09:36 PM

Is there a list of Team names entered anywhere? :D

Lowie 31-01-2010 10:26 PM

Here you go: LINK

but it has to be said that some of those teams, however having mentioned being interested, still have not registered officially (as is the case with the Schumacher-team.)

Dave Dodd 01-02-2010 02:03 PM

thanks for that

antnee 03-02-2010 12:16 AM

Go

Yes they are indeed. We have 'prepared' to drug you with horse tranquilizers when it's your turn to drive, therefor preventing you from destroying the car.

5.5 weeks to go :woot:

not that Im counting down or anything!

Lowie 23-02-2010 06:38 PM

Because of some teams cancelling their entry, we are now again able to go from 20 teams to lesser teams ... and it will be possible for us to organise this race on our "own" track-location (same as BWT and EIR 2010).

This is the plan of the track:

http://i69.servimg.com/u/f69/14/59/26/48/piste_10.jpg

address will be:

Rue du chemin vert
Lodelinsart.

We also have a photo-gallery, explaining the route, picture by picture. You can find this here: CLICK
At the moment this is still only in French but I'll try to make some English translations.

till soon :)

message from Jean-Paul Voumard:

in short:
lighting on the car will definitely be needed as the race will be held, during several hours, on a dark track.
So a fluoresecent-color-painted body won't do!

It promises to be a competition on a high level as most teams (or all?) seem to be prepping their car for this specific race: LED-lighting, fast-switch-systems for the batteries ...

Also, as JP celebrates his b-day that same weekend, he offers an apero on saturday-evening :)

good news I guess :D

Dave Dodd 18-03-2010 09:55 AM

woo hoo. not long now

dont panic (from dads army)

Squad MiD44 - Tekin

Hi all,

there is the car we will use at the Charleroi 24h race. It is basically a B4 Team, fast and reliable, upgraded with some "team" touches :
- Losi shocks (the team loves'em)
- Lunsford ti ball studs and turnbuckles (not shown)
- Tamiya lightning system, huuuuge :woot:
- alloy and CF front
- last and not least, a RS Pro + 10.5 nicely provided by our sponsor, Team Tekin.

http://david.caradec.free.fr/Public/...-B4-24h-01.jpg

"The Brain" Olivier Langlet built the car, so we already have an unfair advantage :D He made all the custom parts seen on the car, as the blingy alloy ESC cooler. No fan to break

http://david.caradec.free.fr/Public/...-B4-24h-04.jpg
We will use a custom program, nicely provided by Randy from Tekin, along with a 10.5 fitted with a high torque rotor.

We chose to use a simple design for holding cells. No fancy system here, simple = reliable. Well we hope so :D

The Squad MiD44 - Tekin : Olivier Langlet, Antoine Rossetti, David Caradec, Matthieu Massonneau and Raphael Gayoso.

Thanks to Randy and Team Tekin for their great help

Randy p 18-03-2010 03:43 PM

I would like a few of those esc clamps please! [email protected] can I have mine in red?
