Just brought a Mi3.5 race and was wondering how i tell what the spur gear is, how do i identify 48dp or 64dp?

Many thanks in advance

It's a hard one to describe I really, but stock spur is around 89 teeth and 48 dp, It will have considerably more if it is 64dp (I doubt you have sufficient adjustment to use an 89 tooth 64 dp spur) - start counting.... and let us know. Alternatively, post up a pic, We'd be able to tell from that.

Cheers,

It has 89 or 68 stamped on the side so guess that it is a 89 48dp spur gear.

Thanks for the help, bit of a noob getting into this and dont want to cock it up at the first hurdle

48 have a deeper tooth than a 64. so if it looks "normal" it's probably a 48.. if the ridges look quite small it'll be a 64.. 64 i think are normally used in 1/12th.
