Seized bearing stuck in motor...

Does anyone have any idea of how to get the outer ring of a bearing out of a motor?

yes, similar thing I would suggest, although if you got a butane torch, might be a bit better.

Would that not melt the alloy?

I wouldn't of thought so... I had a similar problem with a part on a DH bike... The part was some awful soft rubbish, and that didn't melt.

same trick will work well for fitting the new bearing to save bashing it in, bearing in freezer for 15 mins, can wamed up they should just push together
