XX4 -WE Clicker
HI,
Looked through the posts and can't find an obvious answer to this question. I intend to run my buggy indoors on polished wood floor. I have been advised to lock the clicker. How do i do this? Thanks Cam |
Simple to do.
Put spacers / washers in to replace the clicker spring. And tighten down. This stops the clicker acting as a clicker. MiCk B. :-) |

or so you dont have to take spring out, just tighten nut all the way. that way you dont have to dissasemble the front of the car to put the spring back in.
|
My clicker still clicks on full nut tightneing (just louder!)...if you want to do this without removing the front shock tower etc I guess you'd have to carefully take the nut off the end of the bolt and shove some shims on there and retighten hard for this to work.
Never tried it...so no guarantees with this advice. |
Tightening the spring right down will only work on the harder clicker spring, however for 100% reassurance of it not clicking.. a few extra shims will help under the lock nut, as russ said.
|
Try to shim is exact so you don't put too much strain on the thread or you can snap the end off the shaft.
