AGM & Summer Series Prize Giving – 6th December 2009, 11.30am

Since it was a complete tie in the vote, Peter and I have made an executive decision and the AGM will be on the 6th December 2009. Racing will be as normal, except we will take a 1/2 hour break after the first two rounds of qualifying.

The provisional Agenda is below. If you have any of the following to add then please let me know, either on this thread or by PM.
  • Items to added to the Agenda
  • Wish to propose someone as one of the officers of the club.
  • Have a sensible proposal for the name of the club.
  • Propose amendment to the club constitution.
  • Additions to the 5 Year Plan

Amendment of the Club Constitution
If you require a full copy of the constitution then please PM me.
Addition of the following Section

CHILD PROTECTION

The section contains the rules related to ‘Child Protection’. These rules may seem strict, but hopefully will allow the club to operate without a separate child protection policy and the expense of having Committee Members or possibly all members CRB checked.

  • For the purposes of this document, all young people under the age of 18 will be considered as a ‘child’.
  • The safety of children is a priority for all members.
  • No member will put themselves in a situation where they are alone with a child.
  • All under 16s must be accompanied by a parent or adult relative.
  • Any behaviour which may be considered as bullying will not be tolerated.

Bear in mind that should say apply for e.o.s finals.

It would be great for EOS finals but arent we a bit too far North to be sensibly considered? Im sure that RHR and the likes would get the nod before us lot??
It would be great all the same!

I could sort you some land near richmond for an out-doors meeting

that's why we'll apply if we don't get then fair enough.

I'd also like to propose James Chappell to be treasurer and Ian to continue as secretary.

Peter

I propose chrissy P. Seems daft having a chartered accountant in the club and appointing someone else treasurer...

turbo_brick 18-11-2009 10:28 PM

That would mean we require someone else to audit the books at the end of year and have you asked if he's willing?

We also need to be thinking of people for the other positions.

Peter

chris68nufc 18-11-2009 10:35 PM

Whos the new chairman??

turbo_brick 18-11-2009 10:45 PM

No one yet, any volunteers or proposals welcome.

Peter

P.S.

I've just read back my other post and it reads quite harshly it's not meant to be I'm just posting from my phone and can't use smilies etc

Regarding the name of the club. Something more appropriate to the region or the area may be best, especially since the venue may always change, but I doubt the region would.

i.e.

North East Off Road
Durham County Off Road

I was also thinking of something relating to east durham, but again there's no guarantee the venue will also be in east durham.
