xx4 rear end help????

I have noticed the rear wishbones rest at diferent levels as if the shocks were different lengths(there not, I checked) or there is droop screws?
It seems the right(looking from the back) is 10mm lower than the left?

Its baffeled me? any ideas?

Thanks!

10mm??????????

You sure a shock shaft isn't bent?

If it was less I'd say it was the rear tower not screwed down properly on one side.

also check to see if your wishbones fall under their own weight without the shocks on.

other than that, I agree with Dan regarding the shock tower, its not that easy to locate with the little lugs and long screws pulling it down.

That was what i was thinking bent shock shaft bent hing pin.

all sorted, ended up carrying on to do all the diffs as i have never done them before (only had it about 4 months)
Anyhow, I have decided to put the "clicker" in! Is this a good idea? thought it might give me better steering for indoors!

Chris Doughty 18-11-2009 10:15 AM

the clicker will reduce the brake bias to the front wheels which could make the car loose under braking.

it really depends what you want, build the car up, run it, and then come back here and tell us what it was doing that you didn't like and someone will be able to give you a solution to fix or reduce that characteristic
