lipo batterys for brca 2009/2010
 

are these batterys on the brca listing yet or not 5000mha 40c bionic rc lipo as i wanted to order some for racing next year

The list is not out yet.

i have been told its 1 of cml battery but not sure ?????

You'l have to wait for the 2010 list to be announced to see if they will be legal or not, doesnt matter where they are from, who made them or what flavour they are, if they arnt on the list, they aint comin in ;)

anything thats on the link above is legal for racing,
until the new list is released(end Jan/Feb) you wont no, and no one will if there going to be legal.any new cells that have been released must be sent for approval so i would hold of till then or buy of that list in the link,

To be honest though unless you are racing at regionals etc you are unlikely to run into troubles using Lipos not on the list, especially ones from reputable companies. For example quite a few of us run the Intellect 6000mAh 30C's which are not BRCA legal because they are too tall, but for club meets nobody minds. Clubs will sometimes 'insist' on cells from the list, but its really just a safety thing and if the cells are known to be safe you'll be fine.

there are clubs that run to brca rules si, trust me and not that fare away,and i may be wrong im sure someone will be along to confirm, but if your using none brca cells, would the brca cover you insurance wise?

Yes they would because the cover includes non-racing as well, where strict adherence to the Lipo and Motor list is certainly not needed. They might not cover you if there was an accident involving a pack of cells that had been tampered with though.


As for clubs that insist on full rules at all times - well I'll not be going there then. I've got legal cells, and legal motors too but fail to see why people can't race club meets with Ezruns and Tunigy lipos if they want, especially as they cost a lot less. Anywhere that anal isn't likely to be much fun anyhow.......
