M.R.T personal transponders
 
Do i need an amb first then clone or can i just buy an mrt one?
anyone had any issues with them?

You can just go ahead and buy one of the custom PT's, no need to have an AMB first.

Basically my entire club runs them (60 odd) and not a single problem in 2 years.

I've never had a problem with either of my PT's from MRT in the 12 months I've had them.

If you want an individual number that no one else has got then you will need an AMB one before MRT can clone it. But if you don't mind sharing numbers then you don't need an AMB one first.

If you don't have your own number and you are using a preset one from MRT then there is a chance that you may try and race against someone else with the same number, however the chances are very very slim that this will happen. It doesn't matter if you are at the same meeting as someone else with the same number only if you are in the same heat/final, if this set to happen race control will know and you can pick another number from the 20 preset ones in the PT.

hey scott

i run a standard ptx and have done since clive and terry and myself were testing them some 4 year ago and i have always ran the same pre programend number and never had a clash which is pretty good and its never missed a lap
