To be honest mate MK have been nothing else but perfect for me, your problem is the first I have heard from dealing with him. Did you ring and speak to him direct or email him saying you needed the parts for Sunday?? I find phoning is best when you need stuff urgently. Your local postal service could be at fault too.... I doubt the blame lies solely with MK....

Richard Lowe 14-11-2009 01:22 PM

Agreed give them a call, Marc will sort you out :)

b4pete 14-11-2009 01:24 PM

I placed the order by phone. Luckily the postal service in my area is spot-on. There is nothing they can do now as I needed the gear for tomorrow. I even asked them if it was in time for next-day delivery!

poopers 14-11-2009 01:25 PM

I’ve used MK a fair bit and they’ve always been super fast.

Might be the courier service that’s got the problem. I’m stuck in the same boat (though different shop). Took Friday off for a parcel that never arrived, and is currently sitting in a depot in Sheffield. Waiting sucks.

Sorry to hear that this has not arrived, it was sent on Thursday by Royal Mail 1st class post, you asked if your were in time for it to leave that day & it did, you only paid for 1st class not carrier.

Most of the time Royal Mail gets to customers next day. Please feel free to call me at the shop if you want to discuss this.

Marc

I don't want to get into a slagging match on a public forum, as i said, Royal Mail shoud have got to you at the latest today, I do charge more for Carrier delivery. I said when you place the order that it would be sent bu Royal Mail 1st class.

Marc

b4pete 14-11-2009 01:39 PM

No slagging, you should have sent it Guaranteed, you knew my requirements, even if it cost me more.

Thanks for wrecking my weekend.

Ben Turner 14-11-2009 01:46 PM

Mate, if you appoached this with a different attitude then maybe you might be able to find someone who can help you out and may have the parts you need with them on Sunday. Slating someone on a public forum like this wont help things.

I dont think you could be more wrong or out of order. Why should a shop spend more to get parts to you that you ordered late? A shop owner tells you its going out 1st class its your risk, if you want carrier delivery then its down to you to request that. If I need something next day then I pay for that service, courier service.

And just because the post is working in your area, it doesnt mean they are up to date at every depo across the country. And then to open a thread like this is so out of order is unreal!?!?! Marc has never let me down, and he offers a courier service for ruch orders, its down to you if you pay for that or take the risk of royal mail. 1st class should have easily reached you by now, call royal mail, blame them as its their fault, nothing to do with MK Racing.

You wrecked your own weekend.

b4pete 14-11-2009 01:51 PM

Sorry that was meant to say, 'even if it cost me more'

And Kifogrande, notice CML in your signature, dont even get me started on them.

poopers 14-11-2009 01:51 PM

I had a whole speech ready but Kifogrande said it better than me

Thats a bit much, sounds like MK did everything asked of them while trying to keep your postage cost down ;)

Kifogrande 14-11-2009 01:51 PM

Wow! Your bang out of order mate. I'm getting out of this one right now.

shaun m 14-11-2009 01:52 PM

are you certain that its not a problem with royal mail , the amount of times i have been let down by royal fail ,

twice with orders ( other shops ) ive paid an extra £6 -£8 for a next day service and its taken 2-3 days . when even on the tracking slip it says it was dispatched on the day they said they would :o... royal mail suck

its no longer like 1st class is 1-2 days its more like 3-5 days ...

i get quite alot of bits from mkracing , microtech ,and bmm and to be honest i have nothing but praise's for them ..:wub

its just a few of the other well known shops tend to let me down ,with sending it out later than what they said .........

Welshy40 14-11-2009 01:54 PM

Mark is a top banana and is a strong possibility that the postal service is playing catch up after the idiots went on strike. Mark has never let me down and his customer service skills are excellent. Its always best to call the shop up first and find out when they posted it before letting rip.

b4pete 14-11-2009 01:55 PM

I didnt let rip, simply posted up some FACTS

As i said above, it is not me who has wrecked your weekend, it is Royal Mail!!! I had the parts in stock & sent them that day, I remember you placing the order as you did not want a receipt sent in with the order & you only asked if they would go that day as you needed for the weekend, that was Thursday & like I said before, it should have got to you Friday/Saturday.

Marc

The only fact you failed to meantion is the FACT that the only guilty parties here are you and royal mail.
