Tall LiPo in RB5
 

Hey guys,

For anyone out there that uses pretty tall LiPo packs in their RB5's, what've you done to secure them in the car? As standard, i'd have to at least raise the blocks that the battery brace pushes on to, but the end of the brace can't slot into the gap in the shock tower.

Probably haven't explained this very well, but to put it simply, i'm gonna be running Nosram 40c's in it (POOWWWEERRRRR!)

On my car i have an Atomic Carbon rear tower and I can hook my battery strap under it but above the proper slot and you can fit ZX5 batt posts these are taller and should come on the tree in the kit. Not so sure about the standard tower take a look and see.

Do as i have done and get AE's thumbscrews etc.. but use this in conjuction with Kyoshos carbon battery brace for the RB5..

I use LRPs 5300 28c/40c stick lipo, with the sticker side up (locaters underneath) and this works just fine :thumbsup: I put the carbon battery brace in the slot just above the "kit" slot and once battery brace tightened up, they are going no where :D

The optional c/f battery strap lets you run taller lipos up to the BRCA limit.
