Its in a small village called Biggin between Sherburn and Cawood.

The track is only open on offical race day as we only have permission for 12 events per year at the moment.

OK... so whats the difference between rally x and truggy..? Oh.. and can a buggy compete..?

dave g 07-11-2009 12:24 PM

truggy is basically a buggy with longer wishbones and a truck type shell, generally easier to drive,a little bit more stable.

a 1/8th buggy is rallycross.

Aahhh... thank you... all is now revealed... makes the last part of my question somewhat redundant I guess...!

If I'm being a nuisance, I apologise... but here goes...

How are the classes divided..?

How many cells (lipo..) are normal/used..? I've seen some 1/8th with 2 trays..!

Are there servos scaled up for 1/8th (from 1/10th)

I guess nitro and leccy don't run in the same heat/final..?

How many amps is usual for a 1/8th speedo..?

thanks fellas...

well since we are a new club the rules may be a bit relaxed as to classes for the first few meetings until we find our feet and get a bigger turnout of drivers,if you only get 20 drivers its hard to have multiple classes split up,however if you get 30-40 then its easier to let the truggies and buggies run seperate.

as for number of lipos i dont think theres any hard or fast rule since theres not really a brca spec class for them saying whats allowed..so i guess run what ya brung.

as for amps im not sure, but i would guess at 120+ plus.

servo's..i only run ace servos, all metal gears and are well upto the job,i have seen some of the ko's fail miserably in 8th scale, altho the newer ones seem better specced and more vibration resistant and the gears seem stronger, the 12kg savox ones are ok too.

hi is it just for 1/8 trucks and truggys or buggy as well
can i use my traxxas rustler 1/10scale big 1/10 scale
and my stampede vxl and my 3 buggys b4 madrat and losi xxx4

mark christopher 08-11-2009 05:55 PM

stampy its a 8th truggy track, wit 12 meetings a year.
not sure it it will be suitable for 10th

pm bally  and ask him :woot:

steelie600 08-11-2009 07:00 PM

A 10th will be next to useless on an 8th track, even a very smooth 8th track, the jumps will be massive, imo far too big for a 10th. Thats not to say you cant run a 10th on a rallyx track i just definately wouldnt recommend it.
