Variable or fixed timing adjustments?

What esc's are available with this feature LRP SXX, Tekin RS Pro, anything else?

Is it really worth it or is it just marketing hype, are they really any better than an esc that can adjust the timing to one fixed value?

The losi can change motor timing.

Sorry, by variable i meant dynamic timing changes made by the esc.

Only GM Racing speedos, the LRP SPX Stock Spec and some Tekins have this option.

If you run stock classes with anything slower than a 9.5 it will be a lot(!) faster but feel quite unlinear on the throttle which doesn't really matter that much as the motors are fairly soft to begin with.

If you run modified motors with the variable timing programs it will be near undriveable as the unlinearity becomes more pronounced the lower the amount of turns.

Only worth it if you run stock.

I don't have one (yet - it's on the way), but I think the the Castle Creation Mamba Max Pro also has this feature.

Avner.

No it doesn't. There is no way to achieve this with a sensorless speedo.

Sparrow,
the new Mamaba Max Pro is sensored.
