Who has pictures of Kidderminster?

I'm looking for detailed pictures of the astroturf track at Kidderminster. I've gone through all the pictures I could find on oople but need more detailed photos of the track itself.

If anyone has any pics or links please post :)

Anyone, please

Best ones I have are from Jimmy, there are some good ones including a couple of panaramic shots ... might be worth looking again

I have gone through all the pictures I could find but I'm after detailed pictures of the topography of the track.
Most of the pictures are cropped to show a particular car but I'm after the "bigger picture" :)

perhaps people haven't replied due to the fact if you look at the top of the forum under PHOTOS (bit of a give away really) you may find what your looking for! ;)

Gone through all of those and still haven't quite found what I'm looking for (as mentioned in my first post if we're going to be like that :p)

I squinted the crap out of my screen and had found that one but still wanted something slightly closer up without the fisheye.

I know I'm sounding picky but I would ideally like detailed pics of each part of the track by itself, so that I get a more 3D impression of the track.

Thing is my club is contemplating building an astro track and I am trying to collect pictures of versatile track layouts so that we can build it once and not have to rebuild as often. As the idea of a completely flat astro track is a bit boring I was wondering how people had built different sections of flowing "up/down" passages to make the track more interesting.

This might explain the question.

There it is, my fav track in all it's glory!

That was the picture I was thinking of.

If that isn't any good just let me know as I will be racing there next weekend (8th Nov) and am happy to take a few for you, they won't be to Jimmy's standard as I am to photography what Jo Brand is to super models :)

Will also try to get you some pics of the new Cov track when I go there and it is well worth looking for pictures of Stotfold and Bury too, both great fun to drive too IMHO.

PaulRotheram 29-10-2009 10:59 PM

same as.. that vid has brought back some good memories!
some one get him back on here!!

sparrow.2 29-10-2009 11:08 PM

That would be absolutely great!

Any closeups of the separate corners/features would be very much appreciated! A nice touch would also be a picture of the side and bottom of the astroturf and a couple of closeups of the surface.

Sounds silly but it's a pain in the A° to try and find a type of astroturf without knowing what a good surface looks like :D

If you have any I'd be glad. Just had a look at the race report from the national and the track looks great. Can you change the layout on it as easily as at Kiddy?

Northy 30-10-2009 09:20 AM

What do you specifically need pictures of? I have lots from building the track if that helps.

It is super easy to change layouts. We have a few permanent features and join them together with sections of rubber pipe, so the track layouts are endless.

I did once start counting the number of different ways the tabletop/bombhole combination could be used, but gave up when I got over 30 :woot:

If you need any help, just let me know.

I also know PW has a detailed CAD drawing of Kidderminster, only a top down 2D drawing though.

Wow, pictures of the build in detail would be great

As our track has been mainly flat dirt up to now we have limited knowledge on building 3D up/down corner type of stuff. I am looking for pictures where you can specifically see the elevation changes into and out of corners and where you can see the different possible track variations. Also details of the artificial grass itself surface/cross-section/bottom.

And while you're at it I'd like a video where someone holds the camera a foot off the ground and runs over the track making car noises please ;)

And then one of someone filming the guy running over the track bent over going brummmm :woot:
