A few of us did this a couple of years ago 3 x 911SC's and me in my VX220.. drove through france then switzerland, stayed over in Lausanne and went to Ouchy for the day (village on Lake Geneva) from there headed to Nice then onto Monaco etc awesome roads matey.. we then headed up for the Le Man 24hr race where we camped for 3 days we went via the Milau bridge.. then headed home.. i could have got things in the wrong order as it was a while ago.. but you must do it!

Cheers

Nick

What date are going? and where are you staying for the Grand Prix?

I imagine it will be £££££££££££ around Monaco for the grand prix.. you could always stay in Nice (30min drive if that) and stay in an Ibis Lodge?

We stayed at the one in the center of Nice and was perfect base to exlpore from  and reasonable cash to and comfortable.. rooms were good and had air con...

I'm digging the giant French Bridge, I'm digging the old 911's - really like the metallic brown one, oddly. Like the VX220 too.

I'm staying in Nice as all the respectably priced accommodation was snapped up within a few hours of the new race date bring announced. Place we are staying has good reviews and underground private parking for my car

The brown porsche is " Rosewood " and that colour comes alive when the sun hits it.. This colour was re-released last year and is now called "Macadamia metallic" and was used on some of the new 911 Turbo press shots..

Lol! you would be suprised how comfy our go-karts are on a long journey! :p

daz 28-10-2009 12:41 PM

I do like the old 911's:wub, but i the vx does nothing for me at all.

njc11 28-10-2009 01:05 PM

All 3 911's are mint.. the Rosewood car was cover car for Total 911.. the silver/light gold colour has been completely rebuilt and the blue one was a swiss import (like the rosewood) and immaculate..

As for the VX.. thats my Airfix model! lol! the Plastic fantastic Roller Skate..

:p

If anyone wants to come over, there is a good possibility i will still have my apartment here for the GP, i can also get some pretty good tickets. I will know for definate either next week or february (depends on contract renewals) It can sleep about 10 just bring sleeping bags

Parking around Monaco is difficult, a friend of mine put her car in a supermarket carpark for 3 days over the boat show weekend and it cost her 375 euro

Northy 11-11-2009 12:26 PM
