ok think ineed another motor 2wd maybe . chris has a mint deal for me but will need a motor . have found a 2.5t schumaccer brushless system. crikey. migght just keep up with si in the wheelie class though. however this set up is gonna cost 350 all in wi buggy. insanity costs. or maybe the cheap option. 2wd buggy .stinger. wi 10t brushless system. 125 quid brand new . what wuold you boys prefer to be crashed into by .nice 1

Oh, you don't know do you? The LRP 7.5t in my truck died racing at Cheadle last night. The wheelie monster is no more

But then I promptly bought the only spare motor going at the track - a Novak 5.5t. Wheelies a go go again!

Its now even more silly than before! However I'm not entirely sure a 20 year old RC10 Stealth slipper can cope with a modern 5.5t brushless!!!!!!

johnnygibbon 23-10-2009 09:19 PM

can it cope wi you. try it fry it . big air and bigger whhellies rule

Si Coe 23-10-2009 09:25 PM

Well the problem is I really want that 5.5t in my D4. Which means the truck is motorless unless I put the 4.5t in. And considering that the D4 can't really cope with that I can't see a 20 year old truck managing. I'm a bit stuck now:confused:

johnnygibbon 23-10-2009 09:32 PM

hamster p0wer it

get a losi 6.5 in it or the 3.5 or any thing brushed you gotta stay on track . demolition derby wheelie king

johnnygibbon 23-10-2009 09:34 PM

or trade

i got 6.5 migght be up for swop. want power
for yokomo

Si Coe 23-10-2009 09:36 PM

I'm waiting on Little Chris to get me a new spur so I can try it Sunday on 4.5t power.

Andy - If you are reading this can you bring the Pro 10 on Sunday? If Chris forgets my spur the Pro 10 has one I can use.

Got new shell (sort of) for truck and fitting it now - not painted yet so won't use on Sunday. Extra thick lexan!

johnnygibbon 23-10-2009 09:40 PM

rigght probly see you sunday if not i be in touch
on this . will bring whatever cars i have fixed or bought or bodged to hoon round the track:woot::woot:

2.5t in a 2wd your mad,itl be fun to watch you try stay on track though:lol: as long as my car is out of the way.im selling a b4, was thinking of selling it with electrics and batts etc, more of a starter pack though.is ther racing this sunday?,im guessing so with the posts on here.

I think we decided last week that we'd all turn up - so even if no racing happens we'll have another massive practice day.

Well its done. 5.5t is now in the D4:thumbsup:, 4.5t is now in the RC10:p. The single pad slipper gets so hot it melts the spur gear! Its going to be a little mental:woot:

Seriously though Johnny - If you want monster power find me a sensored brushless motor in the 6.5-8.5t region and I'll swap it for that Novak 4.5t I have. I'm literally only using it because I don't have another sensored brushless to fit. It was too much in a 4wd, it will be mental in a 2wd.
You certainly don't want a 2.5t - those things aren't even designed for running with lipo! They are meant for touring cars on 5 cell NiMHs (6V) and even then they are ballistic!

johnnygibbon 24-10-2009 02:08 PM

money well spent

ok 2wd buggy has landed brushless motor unsure of turn 9 or 10 i think. took the advice and have ggot this stinger thing looks ok . cheap- buggy brushless gear and 2.4 gig radio gear 140. will see if it gos or smashes tomoro i hope. thoght maybe i should learn to drive properly before trying to break the sound barrier.

Big G 24-10-2009 06:06 PM

I put a 5.5 in my SC10 and I couldn't even get it in a straight line running it in the street outside my house. you had no control over the car and it was just waiting to smash itself up on a kerb

I then ran it round a track and broke the chassis in 3 laps lol

someone at my club has found that the B4 layshaft and therefore clutch fit straight into the old stealth box!! Maybe that would help a little:woot:
