That old PC power supply trick

Does anyone know where i can find a detailed guide to turn a PC power supply into something i can use to run in motors and charge cells? I know of the post on racechat but it's rather old and also doesn't seem to match up to my PSU too well. :wtf: Have an old PC PSU lying around and was hoping to save some cash on a power supply :D

racechat one worked for me.

Main problem I have atm is lack of a thin orange wire as mentioned in the racechat guide.

I wired it up as per the racechat guide, turn it on all works ok, plug it onto my charger to see how it goes, and poof, dies :wtf: Can't seem to get it back on again so i'm guessing I blew the fuse, how'd i manage that?

edit: isn't the fuse, PSU just shuts down, to protect itself I guess and has a couple minutes 'cooldown'

Got it all sorted finally :D still no sign of an orange wire though, maybe it's inside the case somewhere though
